Very youthful as it was just bottled before it was given to me. Intense, inky purple-ruby colour. Black cherry and black plum, violet, coriander and a touch of bell pepper on the nose. Firm grippy, youthful tannins, full bodied, with more black fruit flavours, and added cocoa, vanilla and coffee finish. Gutsy and lots of structure as you'd expect from a Petit Verdot, but nicely balanced with the fruit and acidity. Definitely a food wine paired with roast meats or strong, hard cheese. Otherwise cellar.
