We love escaping to the colder places in winter each year. In Brisbane, we don't really feel the cold in winter, so each year we try to get away to Granite belt region, Stanthorpe in particular., where temperatures can drop to zero (c) or below in the winter months. Wine, like food, is an acquired taste. Just because I recommend something I like, I know not all will agree with me. But the granite belt region truly has some wonderful award winning wines, and some very talented wine makers.
