Deep plum in colour with good legs; aromas of cassis, cedar box and violets; plenty of ripe black fruit with liquorice tannins. A Cab/Sav with a sharpish red fruit bite that mellows well with breathing. Four years had improved it but could easily go longer. Good firm tannins on the finish. 91/100 pts. A very powerful Australian Cabernet. super-expressive, bursting in intense ripe red fruit flavors and a wealth of yet-balanced oak characters. A big Aussie wine with some refinement and yes, absolutely, well-crafted. Drink now and within 10-15 years (<2030). Enjoy :-) (3.9 Stars)
